Justice Focus Group

Last night I participated in a Justice Focus Group for two 6th year studies students at Leith Academy. The group was made up of people from a range of backgrounds - including a police representative, a sociology lecturer and the school jannie. Also in attendance representing the Labour party was their Lothians’ regional list No2 candidate Carol Fox.

The discussion was quite wide ranging covering CCTV, prisons, biometric passports and ID cards. Hopefully we’ve given the two students some good primary source material for their dissertation as it makes up 33% of their final grade.

Regualr readers of the blog will notice I`ve added a new ‘leith links’ section to the blog. If you know of a North Edinburgh or Leith website that you think should be included drop me a line and I`ll consider adding it to the blogroll.
